Bundle Fixer

What Is Bundle Fixer?

Starting around Late 2024 to early 2025, some teams started to notice that Bundled Job Materials used in Proposals were broken out of their Bundle and seeming loosely applied to the Job following the Proposal being Accepted. This is due to the Bundles being removed immediately after being created following the Proposal acceptance. Rather than having to rebuild the Job back to what the approved Proposal included (manually rebuilding the Bundle), this solution simply allows you to reactivate the "removed" Bundle and restoring the Job.

Installation

The Bundle Fixer solution is designed to be ran locally on your Apple device, and simply requires you to install the current version of Claris FileMaker Go for your iPhone or iPad.

Once you have the current version of Claris FileMaker Go installed, you can get our Bundle Fixer FREE from our web store here. Once complete, the a link to download the file will be sent to you. Once downloaded, your device will ask what you will want to do with the file, and should provide the option to open in FileMaker Go, which you will need to do.

As soon as the file is opened, it will automatically deploy two solution files: the Bundle Fixer module and ServiceM8_Data. You will not need to do anything with ServiceM8, as it simply holds data from ServiceM8 and is used a data hub for our solutions like Bundle Fixer. The Bundle Fixer should automatically open and be ready to use.

Note: the Installer can be removed at this point, and you can do so by pressing and holding on the file, and selecting "Delete".

How to Use

1) Connect to ServiceM8

Open the Bundle Fixer solution. If this is your first time using a PortalMEin solution, you will need to log into ServiceM8, which you can simply do by pressing the "Log Into ServiceM8" button found in the center of page. A card will appear listing all of your current ServiceM8 Logins, which will likely be empty, and you can simply press "New Login". You will then be prompted to provide your ServiceM8 Login Email and Password.

2) Search for your Broken Job

Once you have connected to ServiceM8, you can simply enter the ServiceM8 Job Number which you are seeing this issue on, and pressing the "search" icon. As the module talks to ServiceM8, you will see a series of flashes, this is normal, expected and a sign that things are working.

3) Optional - Review the Bundle

Once the Job has been opened, you can review all Job Bundles for the indicated Job, and even what Materials were assigned to the Job Bundle by pressing the "eye" icon to the right of the Job Bundle description.

4) Fix the Job Bundle and Notify Flag Job as Example of Issue

When reviewing the Job Bundles on the Job, you will see all the Job Bundles which are currently "inactive" (or having been removed) as have a light-red background. Simply pressing on the Job Bundle with this color will automatically trigger it to be reactivated in ServiceM8. You will then be asked to send an email to our team, where we will be compiling and relaying these flagged issue Jobs to ServiceM8. Simply hit send, we will take care of the rest as we all help ServiceM8 diagnose and ultimately solve this problem!

Rinse and Repeat

When you have your Job all fixed up, simply hit done and you are ready to fix the next Job!
